Flooding

Snoqualmie Falls normally.

Snoqualmie Falls today.

I don't think the picture does justice to how much water that is going over the falls. You can see in the bottom photo that the entire basin where we were standing to take the other pictures is wiped out. So, that can kind of give you a sense of the flooding.

Wow.

That's nuts! We've been in Anchorage so mom could go to the doctor and we could do some shopping, so haven't heard anything about the flooding or what's causing it? Hope its not effecting you guys.

We are pretty safe. The drainage river for our area over the hill from us is causing havoc and closing roads, but where we are up on the broad hill top is not so bad.

We've been having big storms for about a month. First it was snow and then a warm rain came thru. So, the 6-10 ft of snow that fell in the hills last month got hit with 50 degree weather and 20 inches of rain.

That is a lot of water. I'm glad it isn't right through your neighborhood. I hope you stay dry and your plants survive the moisture and the temperature changes back and forth.

Stay safe. We love you. MOM
